VenaSeal™ is a new, non-surgical way to treat varicose veins. It uses a special medical adhesive to safely and effectively close off diseased veins. VenaSeal™ is different from traditional methods like surgical vein removal or thermal ablation because it doesn't need heat, anesthesia, or a lot of tumescent fluid. This makes it a safer, gentler option that lets you heal much more quickly. A VenaSeal™ session is a quick outpatient procedure that usually takes less than an hour. A catheter is guided into the vein using ultrasound imaging after a local numbing agent has been put on the insertion site. While the vein is gently compressed to close it, small amounts of adhesive are put into it. Most patients don't feel much pain, and they don't need to wear compression stockings after treatment in most cases. Most of the time, you can go back to your normal daily activities right away with only a few limits.

The adhesive sticks the walls of the vein together once it's inside, which closes the vein that isn't working. There is no risk of skin burns, nerve damage, or major bruising because no heat or chemicals are used. This makes it one of the safest vein treatments available.
