Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA) is an advanced, non-surgical treatment for varicose veins that uses controlled radiofrequency energy to close diseased veins from the inside. Guided by ultrasound, a very thin catheter is inserted into the target vein through a small puncture. Radiofrequency energy then gently heats the vein wall, causing it to collapse and seal shut. This stops reflux, improves blood flow, and relieves the discomfort and appearance of varicose veins—without the need for vein stripping or general anesthesia.
