Acne Solutions by Mesoestetic
Acne is one of the most prevalent skin conditions affecting 80% of adolescents and 30% of adults. It is a polymorphous inflammatory condition occurring in the pilosebaceous follicles better known as “pores”. Acne is caused by a combination of excess sebum (oil) production and hyperkeratosis (thickened skin cells).
Our skin contains sebaceous glands that produce sebum to lubricate and protect its surface. Naturally our skin will slough dead skin cells, with acne the sebum and dead skin cells stick together inside the follicles. The mixture of oil and cells allows bacteria that normally live on the skin to grow inside the follicle resulting in inflammation.
Triggering Factors for Acne:
- Genetic predisposition
- Hormonal changes
- Stress
- Medicines
- Cosmetics and hygiene
- Pollution and environmental factors

Who is a good candidate for an Acnelan® Treatment?
Acnelan treatments have been formulated to effectively control acne in all its stages.
Pre-Acne – Follicular Hyperkeratosis – abnormal thickening of the outer skin layers caused by an excess production of corneocytes and inadequate flaking of dead cells.
Mild Acne – Comedo – non-inflammatory lesion caused by an accumulation of dead skin cells and oil in the pores. These include “black heads” & “white heads”.
Moderate Acne – 1. Papule – inflammatory lesions, small reddish protrusions tender to the touch. 2. Pustule – inflammatory lesions. Infected papules with pus inside. This type of reddish protrusion shows a yellowish tip.
Severe Acne – inflammatory lesions. Large, solid, painful protrusion. They are located deeper into the dermis and the inflammation remission process is longer.
