Treatment Overview
Treatment Overview
Snoring can make it hard to sleep, hurt your health, and even cause problems in your relationships. We have NightLase® at NewDermaMed. It's an FDA-approved, non-invasive laser treatment that helps people sleep better and stop snoring. NightLase® helps you get deeper, uninterrupted sleep by gently tightening the tissues in the airway. This reduces the vibration that causes snoring. It's a safe and comfortable way to help people who snore a lot or have mild sleep apnea get better. It works and doesn't require any downtime.
What to Expect
What to Expect
A NightLase session usually lasts between 20 and 30 minutes. During the treatment, laser energy is used on the soft tissues in the throat and mouth. The procedure is well-tolerated and doesn't need any anesthesia, but patients usually feel warm. You can go back to doing normal things right away after treatment, with no limits. A lot of patients see improvement after just one session, but the best results come after two to three treatments spaced a few weeks apart.
How it Works
How it Works
NightLase uses a soft laser to heat the tissues in the throat, soft palate, and uvula. This controlled heating makes collagen contract and remodel, which tightens the tissues in the airway and makes them less likely to collapse or vibrate while you sleep. The treatment works by making the airways work better, which lowers the frequency and intensity of snoring and may also help with mild sleep apnea symptoms.
Maintenance
Maintenance
Results get better over time, and many patients say they feel better after two sessions. Effects usually last between 6 and 12 months, but this can vary from person to person based on things like their age, weight, and lifestyle. Once or twice a year, maintenance treatments help keep the long-term benefits and improve sleep quality.
