The tear trough is the groove between where the lower eyelid and cheeks meet. One of the first noticeable signs of aging is the appearance and gradual worsening of under eye dark circles, due to thinning of the overlying skin and soft tissue over the bony orbital rim. A band of tethering fibrous tissue called the orbitomalar ligament binds the skin beneath the lower eyelid to the underlying rim of the eye socket. Because of surrounding fat and thicker skin surrounding this area, this ligament tends to be hidden when we are younger. As we get older, due to age atrophy of the adjacent tissues and thinning of the skin, this deep attachment between the skin and orbital rim becomes more and more visible.

An increasingly popular treatment and safer alternative to surgical procedures is the use of injectable fillers to fill out the tear trough. Replacement of lost volume without the need for surgery can lead to dramatic improvement. Over the last decade, injectable fillers comprised of pure Hyaluronic Acid, a natural component produced by the body have been continuously used with proven effectivity and no downtime. Redensity II is the newest most effective product on th emarket for the tear trough treatment.

The aim of the treatment is to inject the filler deep below the soft tissue surrounding the orbitomalar ligament, thereby lifting the tissue and making the tear trough appear shallower and far less visible. In most patients, a reduction in the depth and width of the tear trough is visible almost immediately. Under eye dark circles often caused by shadows within the trough itself also show a significant improvement.

Hyaluronic Acid is a natural component of connective tissue found in the body that provides firmness, elasticity, as well as water retention. Our dermal fillers are made with the highest grade of Hyaluronic Acid. As an already naturally occurring component of the dermis, Hyaluronic Acid is a perfectly biocompatible formulation, which will integrate immediately and naturally for seamlessly beautiful results. It can be easily injected and integrated into all layers of the dermis while producing results that both look and feel natural. Due to their natural properties, dermal fillers are very safe with little to no side effects.

Redensity II is the first nutrient rich dermal filler formulated to safely rejuvenate the tear trough area addressing fine lines, dark circles and deep hollows. It's patented blend of hyaluronic acid and a dermo-restructuring complex of amino acids, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals immediately rejuvenates the eye area with long lasting results. The treatment instantly improves texture, elasticity and hollows around the eyes. The treatment is quick and virtually painless. The advantage of this treatment is that there is no recovery time so you don’t have to worry about unpleasant swelling or bruising.

  • Safe - All injections at NewDermaMed are administered by board-certified medical professionals with 15+ years of field and industry experience. Side effects are minimal, with only occasional swelling or bruising that is temporary and normally subsides with a day.
  • Zero Downtime -  Your regular routine and activities will not be effected by this treatment.

Overall, this treatment is very well tolerated and virtually painless, with only a small amount of skin numbing local anaesthetic cream necessary applied to the skin prior to the injection.
